Where do you live?
What do you do?
Monique: I work as a buyer’s assistant at Target
Marko: Semi professional soccer player
What did you have for breakfast?
Monique: Usually a smoothie/juice or acai bowl. On weekend’s Marko usually makes a killer tofu scramble!
When and why did you decide to go vegan?
Monique: Last year in August when I got back from overseas I wasn’t eating anything except fish so I thought there’s no reason to not go vegan, I’m over halfway there!
Marko: I went vegan on march 10th 2015. My brother had been vegan for 2 years and I just slowly learnt off him the benefits and never looked back!
What does veganism mean to you?
Monique: Living in harmony with animals
Marko: It’s simply the only way to live if you truly align your morales with your actions
Describe a normal day in the life of Marko & Monique.
Monique: Wake up at 6am, breakfast, then head down to my favourite café and do emails, lots of emails in the morning. Then off to work during the day till about 5pm, then usually go to boxing and then work till about 10-11pm.
Marko: Up around 6 to get some training in, then I am free for most of the day to do TIVC work and other businesses I run. At night I am usually at training but if I’m not, i’ll be home with Monique doing work.
What food best describes your personality?
Burritos, without a doubt.
Sweet or savoury?
What is your most memorable dining/eating experience?
First time eating at Smith and Daughters and finding out that Lord of the Fries was vegan.
What is your favourite song/album to listen to in the kitchen while cooking?
Marko: We don’t usually cook too often haha, as either my mother makes food for us or we are at Zambreros.
What is your speciality dish?
Monique: Basil cashew lasagne
Marko: Big brekkie; scrambled tofu, beans, mushrooms, spinach, hashbrowns and vegan sausages.
If you could invite 3 people (historical or current) to dinner who would they be?
Dr Gregor from nutritionalfacts.org, the creators of Zambreros and Rich Roll.

Describe your perfect day.
Any day that has burritos in it is a perfect day.

If you were a vegetable what would you be?
Potato – ’cause we eat enough of them!
How do you think we can each make the world a better place?
By coming to the realisation that we can live our lives without needing to inflict pain and cruelty.
What is your guilty pleasure?

You’re on death row and it’s your last meal. What do you eat?
What are your plans for 2016?
Finishing the year off by launching our second range of watches and taking them over to the States next month to hopefully launch them there!
